Default 1JZ into MX83 Cressida Conversion

    Hey guys.

As the subject says, bout to perform a 1JZ engine swap into an MX83.

Unfortunately i will be using a mid-sumped 1JZ front cut.

I'm after information on the following

-Best way to attack the wiring harness.
-Engine and gearbox mount modifications required
    -Sump modifications

In general just anything you may be able to help me with that will make this process smooth.

I apologize in advance if this topic has been discussed to death already, if thats the case please post any good links yo may have relating to the conversions.

    Cheers fellas

Why are you using a midsump front cut?
    You will need front sump

Searching will help there is lots of info if you look

My advice is to get a jzx80,81 series halfcut, there are a few around these days and it will make your job a transplant rather than a conversion

get a 1J front sump setup,
get some JZX81 alloy engine brackets or fabricate your own
get a series II MX83 crossmember or JZX81 crossmember,
get the high pressure PS line made, or source a JZX81 line
put a 1-way valve in the brake booster line or use a JZX81 brake booster
Get the AC lines made to suit the 1J compressor, or use JZX81 AC lines
Install and wire thermofans on the MX83 radiator, or use a JZX81 radiator with hydraulic fan setup.
Re-wire engine loom's body plugs to suit the MX83 body plugs
Run alternator wires along underneath of radiator support to drivers side rail for alt connection. Or use a JZX81 front loom.
Custom make cooler pipes etc for intercooler, or bolt up a JZX81 setup.

All in all you save quite a bit of money starting with a JZX81 cut. to buy the required parts individually:
    Sump: $200-300
    Mounts: $250-300
    PS Line: $100
    AC Lines: $100-200
Extra hoses, clamps, lines etc: $200-500
