Smile can other 4AGZE blocks be used with AE101 loom (essentially)

    Hi Guys
Ive done an ae101 4agze conversion and after spending $5000 rebuilding my engine I want to sell my car. I want to keep the new engine so im planning on switching it out with a replacement before the sale

If i have trouble sourcing an ae101 4agze engine, is it possible to use an ae92 4agze and run it on the ae101 ecu and loom (ie could i get it going using what i have on my ae101 block, sensors, TPS all that shit)

i.e. Whats my best option for getting another 4agze into my car, with existing ae101 ecu and loom?

Well im not sure if ae92 and ae101 sensors are the same so this is based on they are not.

Majority of sensors are connected to the Head, and only sensor such as oil-pressure switch(in dash) and knock sensor are on the block.

If you can get a ae101 head and put it on the ae92 block id assume the loom would fit.

This is also assuming the ae101 head CAN be put onto the ae92 block(pretty sure you can)

But someone a bit more knowledgable will pipe up soon enough and put these assumptions into facts

if you were to get all the appropriate sensors there would be no reason you couldnt. essentially and engines and engine. as long as all the sensors are giving the correct readings to the ecu you would be in business.

might be an arse of a job getting all the bits together though.

    Ok Cheers guys.
I think I'll just try and source an ae101 4agze engine.
