do it yourself? its not really that hard, cos every plug only has one place, ie a TPS plug wont fit anywhere else bar the TPS.....

get phil bradshaws ecu pinout diagram if need be and then its all straight forward from there

in my experience somone who "knows what they are doing" is more likely to arse it up. im not doubting anyones tallents or expertise here. but you only really need to hook up like 7 or so wires if you are running an isolated engine harness, if you want it incorperated into the body/dash loom things get a little more complex but really its nothing to be worried about, i stripped my loom down completely anything that didnt contribute to the running of the engine or could be taken out has been, have a look at phil bradshaws ecu pinouts

I *might* be able to squeeze you in somewhere, depending on how desperate you are, where you are located, and how much coke you supply.

Friday nite, 2nd march i can probably do it. It will be a LATE night tho....

    PM me.

7 wires my fuking ass must be realy nice job then hehehehehe
maybe if you get the 7 left over wires and connect them all to the battery then its easy
thing will start very first go

it all sounds so fuking easy

why the fuk does it take 8 or so hours to wire it up to all work perfectly

fuk i laugh at so many wankers on forums these days

a 20v in an ae82 or ae92 takes 5 or so hours to do nicely and thats after ive done over 250 4ag 4ag20 4agze

but a 20v into a rear wheel drive early mr2 might be bit more work

can be done just might take you afew days or weeks

just ask witzl how many wires he had to wire up after he does it

well it hasnt taken me 8hours yet on my ta22, now would you like to tell me where all these wires go? cos fuck me i have only connected a small number to everything else...? (ex battery and earth) and there are only 7 wires from the ecu that need to be connected

in future dont be so abusive

skiddz - its possible to have it running in a very short time, but the job will look like shit and be very unreliable.

To do the wiring for engine coonversions, takes time to join everything in correctly, reshaping the harness to suit the veicle and making it look original and will be reliable for years to come.

I will only do engine bay wiring for customers if there willing to do it 100% properly, which means investing time to make it look as original and neat as possible, which also comes with a price tag to match, If it just joined a few wires together and had the car out the door in a couple of hours i would be ashamed of my work.

I fully backup sideshow, as i know all to well what peoples perceptions are of what has to be done, as compared to what we know we have to do

well ive only got 5-6 wires spliced of the ecu loom to the ignition / relays / check light etc.

probably spent 4-5hrs on it so far but mainly understanding and working it out.

but what makes mine and skidzz easier is that our cars are way simpler in terms of
wiring because the electrical systems are basic at best to start with off the showroom
    floor.

yep - but we are talking about an MR2 here, so it's a very very different kettle of fish.

I can vouch for it easily taking 5-8hrs per job.

I Think you could you could get it to run on 7 wires.
but you would need to join all injectors together so 1 wire, run 1 earth to everything, 1 power to every thing, 3 to CAS and only igt to the igniter.
It would run (LIKE CRAP) and you may not be able to drive far but it could be done.
I Know i have repaird rewired lots of CRAP wire jobs and it is amazing how few sensors it will still run with.
Sideshow is right do it once do it right and never look at it again.
and that takes time and if you are paying someone for that time it takes money.
    regards
    MATT.
