    Default Recommended Autoelectricians in Qld

Can anyone recommend an autoelectrician, possibly someone mobile I need to get something rewired so I can get my car roadworthy before i get a safety cert..

In the Brisbane, or Gold Coast area as I live half way..

I thought there might have been someone on the forums who was an auto electrician from memory?

    Thanks

    Hi There,

Unfortunately I'm not an auto elec,

However I'll check with my neighbour over the weekend as I'm pretty sure he used one recently to have work done on his Hilux. We live in Victoria point, and I'm not sure if it was a mobile one or not.

Anyway, I'll reply again after I speak to him.

    Cheers,

    Andrew.

what do you need re-wired? most things are self-fixable with a moderate amount of time, a manual and useful tools?

It was a crowd by the name of 727 autoshop, in Slacks Creek. He used them for an airconditioning repair ( electrical). They didn't rip him off and he was happy with the job done.

As others have said, depending on what the job is, it may be worthwhile to look at DIY. Like most things car or house related you'll usually save a small fortune as most of the cost is in labour.

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm not an auto elec. I'm a Small Engine Mechanic by trade ( haven't worked as one for some years ) but I've also done a lot of my own electrical work on cars as well as mechanical.

I'm sure one of the members on this site would be able to offer some guidance. I've found the members on here are more than happy to share their knowledge.
