ok i have a 16 valve 4age running a microtech which ive put the quad throttle bodies onto now my 16 valve TPS wont work because its spinning the opposite direction to what i need it, i was given a 20valve TPS with the manifold they look the same just spin in opposite direction to each other.
theres four wires yellow, brown, red, and blue does anyone have the wiring diagram for the 20 valve TPS or has someone done this conversion? Thanx in advance
100% correct, you need to use the 20v TPS - just wire it backwards to the 16v
i had to do this to my 16v, running 20v quads and 20v TPS, and stock 16v ecu/wiring..
20v tps side > 16v loom side
brown > yellow
Blue > red
Red > Blue
Yellow > brown
my write up i did a few years ago can be seen here... although the pics don't work anymore, and i probly would have run vac lines differently with the stock map sensor, and made a proper idle control... but when i did this... nobody else seemed to get one to run with the stock 16v ecu, and told me aftermarket was manditory... i was driving it daily for 6 months before going to adaptronic, ditching the map sensor, and using an RPM vs TPS tune..

Superman wears Chuck Norris Pyjama's - Mr Extreme Boost
So having said that, a tight arse could run a 20v head, quads and a gze wiring loom + ecu for a low boost application?
Kinda weighing up the option of 16v low boost vs 20v
thanx man only problem is im running the microtech lt10s with 4xignitor box, the microtech only has three wires for the TPS so would you happen to know what the colours are for?? (eg: yellow 5v+, brown -, red signal, blue whatever)
ok have worked it out for anyone thats running quads with a microtech
yellow-0v earth
red- not used
blue-signal
brown- 5v+
