TA22 Auto v's Manual Trans tunnel size

Hey guys,

Does anybody know if there is a difference in height/width between an auto and manual trans tunnel for the Ta22?

I am having some issue with the position of the gearbox and i need to move the tailshaft end of it up a bit, so i thought that i would find out if the auto trans tunnels are bigger and if so i can just graft one of those in instead of making a brand spankers!

i have had 2 auto '22s and never had an issue converting to manual so i would presume no

also looking at the celica parts manual, there is on different part number for the floor to distinguish between auto or manual

Awesome info thanks man. So i guess there is no need for me to waste time trying to hunt down an auto and take measurements. I will just get stuck into my tunnel with the angle grinder and get a new one made.
