hi peoples. i tried to do a bit of searching (google and old forums) but could find what i'm after
just a question. can a gen1, 3s-ge take a 3S-GTE headgasket. i think the 3s-ge headgasket is about 1 - 1.2mm thick but not sure on the thickness of a 3s-gte head gasket.
would there be much of a differnce in running the GTE one?
i'm just about to replace my headgasket and was just curious if i should go the stock one or go with the GTE one (witch i can prob get cheap)
thanks fella's
As they say in the book, assembly is the reverse of dismantling, but slower cos you forgot where all the bits are
Unfortionately no, not as simple as that. The thicker headgasket will drop your cylinder compressiona bit too much.
The EPC has the headgaskets for the 3sge and 3sgte as different (although it is for the gen2, id imagine it would be the same for the gen1).
