Hi guys
I have been offered a set of these for a reasonable price, but I'm not sure how they'll fit up with the extra width and how the offset will work.
Also my other dilemma is finding a 14" performance tyre to go on a 7" wide rim.
Thoughts/suggestions/pics?
Alternatively if someone has rims from a Cressida (I think MX73) then I'll be interested as they will look a lot classier.
If they fit on RA23's and AE86's, I can't see it being a problem on an RT142 if you use suitably sized tyres.
As for performance tyres, A509's are back in production - and you may recall these performed better than they had any right to on my old Supra.

I don't want tyres that are higher than they are wide
What sized tyre could you get away with on a 7" rim? 205 or 215 would be as small as you could go?

Must.... avoid.... urge... to... upgrade... parts I haven't.... used.... yet.....
Note where I said "suitably sized tyres". MA61 tyres won't work on a Corona, but that doesn't mean the rims won't.
Plenty of the spoontah boys have 195 and smaller on their MA61 rims. I have 205's on my other 14x7 rims and they're not even close to stretched, it's a perfect fit.

the max width depends on the tyre height you want. you could fit a 245 of standard ma61 height, but probly not if they're super-low profiles.
there are a couple of ma61 rims with low pro slicks in the for sale section. have a look.

The previous owner of my rims had them on a Corona of some sort, if that helps (though they were a bogan - 235/60 Bridgestone eagers!!!). They fit an xA6x Celica fine, and Sprinters etc as others have said, so I see no reason why they wouldn't fit your Coronoa.
I have 205/60s on mine, as Norbie says - not stretched, perfect fit, no rubbing whatsoever.
FWIW im running 7 inch wide wheels with 195's on them but ill be changing them to 185's once i need to buy new tyres.
14x60x185. this is on an AE71 of course
hell yes... even 245s looks goodOriginally Posted by Draven
You should not have any problems at all running those rims.I have a XT 130 Corona which at the moment is running 8inch wide Dragway 4 spoke rims with 215/65 14inch tyres(yes 8inch wide)on the rear and they are spot on.The car is lowered a couple of inches also with Pedder springs and shockies.Only mod I did was knock the rear lips up and they don't rub at all even with a full car load and a loaded trailer.I've even tried them on my "81 Cressida which also has dropped suspension and they fit also but only needs the lip mod so they don't rub.Hope this puts more light on your idea.
Cheers Brett.
i got these wheels on ae86 with 185/60
