    Default 1uz oil filter types

    I did a bit of a search and unforunately the term '1uz' results in more than a few threads, none of which are talking about oil filters..

    I need to know if there's any different types of 1uz oil filter. I need the shortest one possible as it'll be very hard to get it into the spot I have it in.

    the one that came with the motor (jap writing all over it) seems to be small enough, but I doubt I can get that one here.

    My MX73 has a genuine toyota filter that is equivalent to the Z418. Part number is at home if your interested. Its a pretty small filter.

    the D4 also fits 2jzgte that what i use, i also heard (from toyota parts guy) that the TRD equivalent fileter is even smaller (i guess that means shorter)

    Z386 will fit, and is smaller than a 418

    FWIW Sideshow used to sell compact 1uz filters on his website, not much room in the hilux. Not sure what brand, or whether he still does though

    I use a RYCO Z125 which is 75mm long
    Fleetguard LF 3826 is 60mm long

    AC Delco part number AC024 is pretty small aswell.
