Im just about to convert my MX83 cressida to manual (7m w58). I have read that there are these transmission brackets needed to bolt the bottom parts of the bellhousing to the engine.
Looking up the supra EPC shows them here.

Parts 33118 and 33119.
Are these supra only parts? Also looking through the EPC i found the auto uses the same part numbers but with the letter B on the end of the part numbers. Auto plates are shown below:

Would there be any chance the auto transmission plates used in my car will work with my manual swap or do i need supra manual specific brackets.
If i need those plates off a manual, where would be the best place to get a hold of them without getting reamed for money![]()
If they're the ones I'm thinking of they just provide extra support for the gearbox (bell housing) to mount to the block, there's no real reason I can see why the auto variants wouldn't work, the bolt spacing in theory should be identical as they just mount flush with the bell housing
I am the sun
If you do need those brackets from a manual, try other M series engines as well, the 4M-W50 works on my 7M, but thats for a W50 not a W58, but ma61 brackets might work.
