Hi,
Check the following thread to see if the info is there.... http://www.toymods.net/forums/showth...&highlight=18r
There's a lot of diagrams there - 108 in total, and it's not 56k friendly. You need to look from about pic80 and onwards for the carby type stuff.
If not then let us know nd I should be able to find the right pic. I know what you mean, in regard to getting the linkages.

Italian version of the Solex. Off an Alfa?
I have a set of linkages that suit the 18R-G spacing but are for the Japanese version of Solex run on the 18R-G. They are designed to have two vertical return springs on seperate brackets.
Just as in rivers thread figure 94 of 108.
I have just thrown out a busted set of Italian Solexes, I could have tried the set up here, but if you want to try then I can do a deal.
The throttle arms would bolt on but may not reach the throttle stops.
Am I right, from memory the Italian Solexes have the return springs in between the throttle plates and on the throttle shaft?
If I can get the measurement from the centre of the throttle shaft to the centre of the stop screw I can check tonight if the OEM 18R-G ones will do the job.
The other thing to do would be to weld on an extension to the tab on the rear (picture left) arm to reach into the balance screw (picture right).
Then work out a throttle cable set up.

you can buy all sorts of linkage kits for different types of sidedraft carbies, maybe have a look at getting a cable kit to suit. or see some pics of them and make your own
yeah with linkage where the idle screw is the arm hits the oil filter unable to go WOT
I have seen the small/shorter oil filters that suit the 18R-G but do not know the number.
Anyone got the part number and brand?

1980RIP NATHAN BRETT DEAN2007,
that linkage you have there looks exactly like the stuff my mate has on his alfas... might be a way to make a couple of bucks ?
Z154 or something... get the one with the anti drain back valve... it sez it suits corolla.

sell the linkage bits you can't use to someone who can
spose i could do that but whos going to buy a couple of linkages i dont even what are of. hahaOriginally Posted by ViPeR_NiPPleX
i would suggest finding some mild steel with the same thickness and brazing a extra tab coming off the old one. make something in the shape of;
______
)_____)
you might also want to consider converting the throttle linkages to cable. linkages tend to wear out so when you have 0.5mm play in each....you get 10deg of play all up
hello
yeah i was thinking about welding a extra tab across and just get a smaller oil filter.Originally Posted by brett_celicacoupe
