    Default 20v starter motor

    hi, a week ago my starter motor stuffed up so i took it to a auto electrician... got tha starter motor back 2day & put it in & she still wont start.......... before i took out tha starter motor out tha car could clutch start thats wat lead me to think that tha starter motor was stuffed, tha battery is fine, i tried to kangaroo jump tha car but it didnt jump at all ?

    Try putting power straight to the starter and see if it does anything, it could be your ignition switch.

    By kangaroo jump you mean clutch start? Or start it in gear?

    yeah clutch in, tha starter turns but doesnt seem to be engaging

    hi... if your starter mtr sounds as if it is running ...and it is not turning the engine over it could be that the small gear ( clutch ) that engages the flywheel is slipping....the simplest test for this is to remove your starter from the car...place it in a bench vice connect your jumper leads to it and when the small gear throws out place a piece of wood against it...put some serious pressure against it..it should burn into the wood and not slip....
