Default 3sgte tach with echo dash

Needing a little help with getting my tacho working correctly on my 3sgte echo. It's a gen 3 3sgte which as far as i'm aware is a 12v tacho spike, where as the original echo 1nz used a ecu 5v output. Whats the best way to reduce/convert the signal to work correctly.

    Cheers

You could try feeding either the IGT or IGF signal to it from the igniter. That will give you a square wave type signal at least, and even though it was looking for a 5V pulse it is probably looking at the signal switched to ground. May need to add add a diode if it affects the running of the car.

I don't have anything to add but is there a build thread for this?
