I believe I've heard of 1NZFE COP being used on 4AGEs before.

Edit: I mis-read this at first, the coil packs people run are usually just 4AGZE ones.

    Correct.
Coilpacks are basically a bunch of coils grouped together with no distributor, one coil for each cylinder (or pairs, depending on the ignition setup), with high-tension lead from the coilpacks to the spark-plugs. 4AGZEs are coil-pack, for instance, as are a lot of Ecotec Commodores.

COPs (Coil On Plug) basically remove the HT wire and place the coil itself directly on top of the spark-plug, so there is an individual coil for every cylinder and no high-tension wiring at all.

Do these provide any performance gain over functioning/non-faulty HT leads?

No performance gain, but better ignition control for things like launch control, anti-lag, 2 or 3 or more step rev control. But those things can be regarded as improved performance.

the denso coils have been proven to handle 100hp/cyl, I use them due to their availability, reliability and ease of fitment.
