assume the mr2 water outlets are just a more annoying version of 163040-74120 which should be found on a fwd gen2 3sge?
Hey Guys,
I'm still very new here and hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by asking here (apologies in advance). But I'm needing some help with my current conversion.
Basically I had a gen 1 3S-FE in my st162. It was on it's way to blowing up. So I decided to swap in a Gen 2 3S-GE with complimenting gearbox (these came from a 1992 SW20 MR2 this part is important it also has modded cams and custom already tuned ECU to go with it (using the stock MR2 loom apparently).
Now doing a search I found this.

Now this seems to show what I need...unfortunately the mechanic and I are a little bit unsure of what to do...so any advice or wisdom (or parts) that could allow us to solve this so it can get back on the road again...
Here are some pics below (sorry for some reason the links didn't wish to work correctly):

^^this is the cooling issue we ran into... not sure how this setup should work...we cut the rad hose short to fit to see how it fit...

^^another pic of the same thing

^^the throttle cable is too short...right there is the MR2 throttle body...
Can anyone provide some answers as I'd like to get this thing back on the road...
Cheers

Hey Guys,
So talking to Jonathan on the FB page seems to lead me to believe that the wiring loom is going to be the hardest part of this whole thing. So if I ask (or dare ask) what is THE MOST plug and play solution for my situation? Would getting a wiring loom from an ST182-184 work best? Then splice in the st162 fuse box or the st 182 fuse box? Can anyone here comment on what the most common solution/solution they used was? Bear in mind I have the original ST162 loom...
Cheers
There really isn't a plug & play solution, you're going to have to get some custom work done. Have a look at the members rides threads on st162.net, there are quite a few guys there with Gen 2's in their cars that you should be able to get some pointers from.
