Default (irs) inderpendant rear suspention into a HILUX???????

hey all i want 2 put inderpentant rear suspention into my hilux
ive been lookin around at alot of ols supra's, celica's, cressiders, bmw's and i havnt yet found an inderpendant set up that measures 1400mm from hub 2 hub.
it doesnt matter as much if it is less, would actually be very cool having less means more dish
but i cant possible fit a wider set up underneath my gaurds.
the diff may be an issue as well coz it needs 2 hold up against a worked sr20

    im stuck for ideas guys
i know this conversion has been done b4 sumwhere but i cant find it.......and helpfull tips would be greatly appreciated
    cheers guys

RX7 or 300ZX seem to be the most common in the mintruckin community.
I know it is alot of work.

Standard hilux will easily standup to you SR20.

I put a RT142 IRS into a TA23 face to face this was about 1410mm.

The bad is you can no longer get discs for these you have to machine out the drum to clear the hand brake shoes with MX73 rotors and run MA61 calapers.

Good luck bro a new angle is always is always hard.

    Cheers Case

Just be aware of the MASSIVE amount of work that's involved in doing this, and that you will loose a lot of your tray depth (if it's a styleside). Also, check with the local authorities and make sure you can get engineers permits etc for it. Otherwise...buy an IRS car with an SR20...like a silvia

Question is why do you need IRS? a live axel setup should be able to do as much with proper setup

    ALSO
its alot harder to convert a car to IRS and get it right than it is to improve a live axel rear

Generally for a minitruck it will be for the cambered look and being different more than any handling advantage. You won't find much in 1400mm wide though so may need to accept less dish, flare out the guards (or use 4WD if not already) or if you are really brave you could try narrowing something to fit but it is serious work.

you can still run coilovers on a live axle, you are creating more work and wasting more money than you need to.
