Default Toyota Diff Codes Explained

Just like engine codes and chassis codes the Diff code on your Vehicle ID tag can be translated to let you know just what sort of diff centre was in your car (At least when it left the Factory )

The attached article was taken off Roadrunner's site some years ago who was kind enough to give me permission to use it. There is a new code format in use now but the codes below was used until 1999.
