Red face F Series Diff Guru needed...

    Hi Guys,
Im in the process of having an F series LSD Centre fitted into my housing in replace of the old piece of rubbish. We have come to a big problem it seems:

Its with the clutches inside the centre. There are 3 on each side and in my centre they are all the same. But the guy at the diff shop rebuilding it assures me that with this setup (it may have been rebuilt previously by some fool) it wont be any different than an open centre diff. No LSD Action.

He says there should be a different clutch plate in the middle of the other 2 which has the gear teeth on the inside to lock up the axel. At the moment all 3 clutch plates have the teeth on the outside to lock into the housing.

We have looked at the microfish and in the pics they all look the same, we've talked to everyone at Toyota and tried everything i can think of. I even ordered the middle cluch plate but it was the same as the ones i already have. They all agree that it cant work like this but cant find me the part to make it work.

Has anyone got experience in these F series centres (from a MA61 Supra) that can tell me that we are wrong and it should be set up as is. Or tell me what the part number is for the middle clutch plate if we are right in our assumptions?

Does anyone have a MA61 workshop manual that could possibly tell me what the clutches look like in the schematics of the diff?

Any help is greatly appreciated... Im gettin desperate!

    Thanks,
    Dylo
