Has anybody had experiences with getting historic rego's in QLD? How did you find the experience? Is it reasonably straight forward? I have a RT80 Corona lowered.
Cheers
Unfortunately Toymods can only offer Historic rego in NSW so we can't give you too much advice.
I believe it's a lot easier in Qld to get older cars approved. In NSW they are fairly particular about what constitutes a historic car and the levels of modifications your allowed to do to them.
Hi
You need to join a registered club in QLD, most clubs need you to be a member for one year before they will sign you off. If you car has current rego take it down with the letter from the president of the club to the department of transport and change over to club rego.
But make sure you follow the rules which apply to "restricted rego" as you will pay for it if caught driving or have an accident on non club event days or Sundays.
Cheers

Also, if you go down that path, inform your insurer.
Depending on who you are with, you might make quite a nice saving on your premium if you get it on club rego![]()
Hi,
You get a discount with Shannons if you're in a car club, and further discount for limited use.
