can you make a new rule where any car for sale must be accompanied by a picture of said car?
i mean wtf im sick of asking for pictures.
a lot of guys know exaclty what a toyota me262 or whatever looks like off the top of their head but there are a lot of models i am not familiar with and i know i can google it but there are heaps more reasons why a picture should be mandatory.

Lonny was pure pimp. He was skinny and nervous. He couldn't sit still and he couldn't shut up. As he talked, he moved his thin hands which were covered on the backs with long, greasy, black hairs. You could tell by looking at him that he had a big penis. Pimps always do.

hahaha,
I reckon a for sale ad is worthless without em...
Any prospective buyer is just gonna ask for em anyways so save yourself some time I reckon.

Hi,
The ME262 was built by Messerschmitt, not Toyota.
But, good idea. Maybe it is something I can present at the next Board meeting... along with a directive that all plastic containers must be accompanied by the appropriate lid.

What if you CAN'T get access to a digital camera? i'm certainly not going to BUY a camera just so i can post a for sale...
Why not make pictures of users compulsory in avatars? just so i know who i'm talking to? Lots of people know what James Doe looks like.. but i don't...
It's up to the seller whether or not they include pictures... any more rules in the forsale threads and it's just gonna get too restrictive, If you don't know what a car looks like, then there's a site you can just type the model name into and it'll give you a picture of what the model looks like... it's really good, can do all toyota models (except maybe the ME262) as well as nissan models, all the aussie models too... it's HERE

Yeah but your gonna need pics anyways most of the time mate is what we're getting at.
I dont think many ppl would consider buying something without pics, let alone even going and having a look.

even fewer people would consider it a serious enough issue that a rule should be made about it...
No arguments that an ad with out a pic is not much good... but seriously? worth making it a rule???

I agree to.
I don't know to many people that would buy or even look at a car that they havn't even seen pictures of.

Its just that it goes like this:
- Person puts for sale ad up, no pics
- Person two posts: Pics? 10 char
- Person three, repeat,
repeat until
- Original Poster - Sorry for delaty, busy with work, lost the lid that didnt fit my tupperware etc etc
This happens so often its getting tiresome.

trouble is that person 1, 2, 3 etc aren't acctually interested in the car... they just want to see pretty pics... person who's acctually interested uses the PM button...

yeah i agree, although yeah, maybe somebody doesnt have a digi cam?
Well I guess we'll continue to rely on mental imagery and guesstimation regarding condition.

Whats more tiresome is time wasting keyboard warriors asking for pics of things they have no intention of buying anyway.
Yes its in the sellers best interest to post pics.
No I don't think it should be a requirement.
The new Y generation really are one lazy pack of Mofo's - back in the good old days people actually looked at cars before they bought them.

7 Toyota's in the collection.... 7 Days in a week - Coincidence, I think not. Even if I do ride a motorbike to work.
But these days, you cant buy a phone without a semi-decent camera and it wouldnt be too hard to transfer to the computer/mms.Originally Posted by NORBY
Sure it might be extra cost (to send a lousy mms) but it shows that you arent dicking around and want to sell the car.
It would definitely help for those interested who cant easily look at the car (interstate, work commitments) - and like Kirsty said, why would you waste your time if the pics show it as not being what you want.
And the amount of people who say 'i dont know how to post pics up...' - there is even a thread on that so if you searched you would find that and how much other people ask for pics.
in the good old days you didnt have web forums so it wasnt an issue of people not posting pics in their for sale threadsOriginally Posted by TheToyman75

I'm not voting until you post a pic of a thread with a pic of a car forsale so I can see what you are talking about.
Agreed with Rod, people these days are lazy. I find the easiest way to weed out timewasters is to simply say call me on ........... if you have any questions. Talking to real actual people is scary so only those truly interested will call.
It is a bit frustrating but you guys are right,if you are keen then you will make the effort. I bought a 120k cressie off here sight unseen whilst everyone pissed about waiting for pics. What should be shut down or given 24hr clock is no price make an offer fs threads,im fsking sick of them.. I honestly have no freeking idea why people want to go through 7 pms to get close to a ball park figure of what they wanted in the first place. Name price or no thread,if you are unsure of its market value then search previous same prod threads and put up what you want.
cheers
