Alright, seeing as there seem to be more and more SA members these days, how about meeting up to get to know each others faces.

Im not sure where everyone is, but im going to suggest that the Tap Inn in Kent Town would be a good meeting location (apart from being my favourite pub), as its a nice place fairly central and has good parking.

What do people think?

Hell yeah, myself & my brother are free saturday night, myself only after 7pm. A pub meetup and a susequent night of bench racing sounds good, as long as we can spend some time in the carpark squizzing at each others cars before or after.
Will keep an eye on this thread......

all right so now we gotta organise a time and some more ppl to come and we will be set lol.
im free all day so if some ppl wanna meet up for a beach cruise b4 hand let me know ie: go down to the bay and along to henley and then back up to north adelaide to go to the pub or whatever just let me know what you wanna do and ill be able to get some celicas along hopefully lol.

At this stage it isnt likely to be a cruise, but more of a friendly meet up. That way we can sit around and have a chinwag about the cars.

Not sure on timing just yet, but Sat does sound like an option. Tap Inn will be pretty packed at night though, but for dinner it might not be so bad.
Either that, or a midweek would be an option. Say tentatively Wednesday next?

Sat arvo would be doable, although for some im guessing it would be a bit early.

If a midweek thing is suitable, how about Wednesday week, the 17th of May?

Ok, so say we meet at the Tap Inn in Kent Town at 7:30 on saturday night. Not sure what sort of sitting space there will be, but it shoudl be ok. If its massively packed then we can migrate elsewhere after say 8pm.

For those who dont know where the Tap Inn is, it is on Rundle St in Kent Town opposite the Bunnings there. Plenty of parking nearby.

Might it be better to propose say a lunch time or afternoon time saturday in 2 weeks?

this gives people enough time to even see this thread and also to organise to have that day free so they can't make an excuse and say they can't go :)

Book a table at a pup to have a meal of say 15 - to - 20 people or so.

nother recommended eatery would be the Earl of Leicester for a bloody huge Schnitty that you would wonder what sort of bird would have made such a succulent slice.

We will still roll with tonight for now. Come if you want. The main thing was just to get us as the SA forum and club members together. Personally i would say the more often the better, so i would be looking at a monthly get together eventually doing various stuff, be it golf or cruises etc.

Personally on the 20th im racing, so i wouldnt be able to come, but dont let that stop you guys.

Ill be there tonight, hanging around the upstairs area in my Toymods shirt. (I may have even been there for dinner too, damn the fish and chips and salt and pepper squid is good)

Ok, so there was the first ToymodsSA meet up. Just Bigworm, PlacentaJuan, myne and myself were there, but it was good fun (apart from the atrocious music).

I think the next gathering will be on the 20th. Come one, come all, more details closer to the event.

Was a good night out, pity about the music & the early departure though, but was good to finally meet some of you guys. The Tap Inn was cool too, I can see myself spending a bit of time there, we must do it again soon!
