Hey everyone
Im about halfway through a 1ggte/ra23 conversion and ive run into a little problem.
im planning on running the engine on straight LPG and all is going well except im not sure how im going to run the ignition system. The GRA mixer ive got is incompatable with the
1ggte t.p.s (they turn different ways) which makes it a pain the arse to run the factory computer (they must have been smoking something when they designed that friggin distrubutor) , which means i either have go haltech/motec whateva or get one of those modified chrysler distributors with vac/boost advance/retard. Im wondering if anybody has any ideas about how to get around this or if anyone knows the wherabouts of an ignition only computer and help would be greatly appreciated as money is always tight and im trying to get it finished asap
On the plus side i found out that a GRA mixer will bolt straight up to 1ggte intake manifold
which made my day.

Firstly mate, hop on to performancelpg.com

THere's a few people there that will have the exact answer for you.

HOWEVER.

I've done exactly what your saying (it's almost like you stole my idea?? ;-) )
If you want this running faster, I'd be going the modified chrysler dizzy with the vac/boost adv/ret. I can point you in the direction of the guys who know how to build said things.

Like I said, repost your question on performancelpg.com and you'll probably get a few additional pointers, as this is a common issue.

I also agree that that 1g-gte std dizzy is fuckin' insane. You won't get anything to interface it.

Check out my website www.stradlater.com as you'll see heaps of pics describing how I did it.

I Will drop you a PM of the details when I get a chance.. But like I said, performancelpg.com guys will give you different opinions of ignition setups, because there's a few crossing that very bridge at the moment.

As for a replica of my car, Heh, just don't replicate the brakes, cos I don't care for brakes very much. :-)
