Toyotacarclub.net is holding a dyno day at BOOST WORX HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING, 57 Boothby St Panorama 5041 on Saturday September 23rd.
Boost Worx operate a 2WD roller dyno which is suitable for FWD and RWD cars.
This event will be open to anyone who would like to attend. Please feel free to post this on other forums or tell your friends. If you wish to attend please register your interest on the toyotacarclub.net forum so that we can plan for numbers. We will be taking small deposits to ensure attendance as numbers are limited.
There is capacity for 30 to 35 cars. We will be taking pre-registrations for 35 entrants. The event will run from 09:30 AM 23/09/2006.
The cost per car is $30 for non-members and $15 for members. Each entrant will be able to run twice for that cost. The printed graph will show power and torque. For an extra $5 Boost Worx can include an AFR reading as well. New memberships will be taken on the day which include benefits such as reduced entry costs at selected events, membership in an incorporated club with CAMS affiliation and discounts at selected workshops and suppliers.
We will have some prizes (yet to be determined) and will run a BBQ as well.
If you are interested in attending please post your name the make/model of your car and whether you are a "definate" or a "maybe". You can also post a contact number, or if you would rather not have that on a public forum you can email me at: t.kowalik (at) optusnet (dot) com (dot) au.
Hope to see you all there.
Cheers,
Terry (Starfire)

Sorry but I won't be going to the dyno day anymore :(
But only because I've booked my car into boost worx now for a full service and dyno tune (which is well overdue) so I don't think I'll need a second readout on the 23rd because I won't have made any engine mods. Sorry about the hassle.

What about magnas? My mate has a magna, not a new late model or anything but he thinks it's got more guts than my supra. I'm happy to pay for him to get it dyno'd if he's got the balls to show up :)

oh sorry, righto i see, i was a lil whacked out earlier, i think ill pass this time, ive been asking the boss for too many days off recently.
I'm rostered on to work this saturday. I always feel guilty when i ask for a day off so i'll pass this time. Therefore the Vl with a RB20DET won't be there either.
Sorry for messing you round.

Im going to come down to watch, just to meet some of ya.
They definitely don't make me feel bad if i ask, i just like to keep my hours up 'cos i'm casual and why would they give me hours compared to another staff member if i bail on the hours they give me?

Remember - the dyno day is tomorrow. I hope to see everyone there in the morning.
We will be taking registrations on the day so if you havnt posted up but still want to come you can just turn up but unfortunately we can't gaurantee a place. It will be first in, best dressed.
If you can only be at the event for a certain time we will try and accomodate that too.
Cheers,

Results of the day:
The number of entries was a little lower today than expected but everyone seemed to have a lot of fun
Of the 14 cars that ran on the dyno 12 of them were Toyotas, 7 of which were Twin Cam Corollas!
A breakdown of the results:

http://members.optusnet.com.au/~t.kowalik/dynoday20060923graph.JPG
As you can see the most powerful car was Adam's mighty MA70 Turbo-A. The most powerful 4cyl was, ummm, mine :)
A special thanks to Matt for helping out in general and taking care of the BBQ for the day.
I will post up some pics tomorrow some time as well as all the dyno graphs. Feel free to post any pics that you have.
Cheers,
Terry
