I am curently in the proces of instaling a 1UZ motor from a Toyota Crown into a Holden 1 ton Ute. I know its crazy but its different and its what i waI understand a few tings about the motor. but ther is also alot i dont. and rather than rip into the motor with all spanners blazing i t hough i would ask someone first. My little bro told me about Toymods so here i am. ill post questions up here when they arrise.
But first off im chasing a few things. 1 is someone in perth who can help me with the sump and engin mount conversions. also the motor i bought doesnt seem to have a rear Gearbox shock mount. as i never got to see this motor in the cut before i bought it i havent a clue whats missing.
In reguards to the sump. we are hoping we wont need to modifie it. beingh the size of the engin bay. we think it will fit in but if i do have too, the botom end. is it seperate big ends or is it a buiscut type like many of the newer motors.
well if anyone can help me it would be great. i am also chassing parts. ie throttle cables, cruize control dash controls. and anything else thay i might need for the compressor, dash, computers. etc.

the gearbox mount can be had from a lot of other gearboxes such as a W40, W50, and probly the rest of the W's, and others probly too. they look like an X on a snowboard.:D

CrUZida aka peewee is the man when it comes to bolting 1UZ's into anything with wheels regardless of manufacturer. He is a legend in this area.. Ask him nicely and he may grace you with his infinite wisdom! :)

You should speak to Van at TJs Imports in Wangara, he's just finished doing this...

On this particular car he ended up modding the crossmember a fair bit but i think if you get the right sump (there were a couple of different types for the 1uz i believe) you might be able to minimise the crossmember hacking...

It isn't a strip stormer but it starts everytime, runs and changes gears perfectly, gets good economy with a huge tool trailer behind it, sounds great when you are under it and my mate(the owner) farken loves it. Well worth it.
CRS for engine mounts and sump for sure. You are on your own with trans mounts though, you have to fabricate it.

Hey guys sorry its been a while. the whole operation came to a screaming halt when i made a move too perth. btu were all go again. Just an update though.
The read Xmember we managed to find so that fixed that probem. were just fabricating a Xmember to suit the kingswood. the front crossmember got cut and dropped almost 3 inches, but thanks too that the engin sits snug as. i have re asembled the front end and got the bonnet on finaly. im going too send it too overboost to have the electrics done and a new computer. ill post some pics up here soon

Hey man, I can't remember, but was there a separate gearbox ECU for this car? I've got the number of a guy who's supposed to be a gun on wiring, I'll see if I can dig it up for you.
