CCG going to the TOYOTA Nationals @ Easter April 6th to 9th

Early advice that the Toyota Nationals are on again at Dubbo at Easter, April 6th to 9th 2007! It was an absolute blast this year and 07 will no doubt be as good if not better.

Accommodation was very tight last year so we need to get as many bookings as we can into the front section of the Matilda to ensure we keep all the CCG together.

After some regrettable issues last year there may have to be a deposit, or even full payment plus deposit, provided for each room to ensure we dont have similar problems.

Phil and I will be coordinating arrangements over coming months for the CCG cruise and events at the Nats. Just a heads up at this stage for your diaries, More info to follow.....

Due to the quieter than usual interest in the Nats we only pre booked 2 rooms and these are already completely booked out! I will call the Matilda tomorrow and see if there are any other rooms available...i hope so.

If your interested in staying at the Matilda Hotel with the rest of the Nats crowd Id suggest you call Kerri at the Matilda on 68823944 to book a room ASAP. She said there were only a few 'standard' rooms available out the front of the Hotel with us. Standard room is with a queen and a single bed. Unserviced room with 3 people staying in a room (worrk out who is in the queen bed fellas...Ha!!!) for 3 nights = $101 per night. Anyway...check out the site and ring up and book a room ASAP.....Shane....Justin!

Hey Clint. Well we CCGans are leaving at 8.30 am on Friday 6th. Heading up through Molong, Cudal and Cowra to Dubbo. Hoping to get all the CCG cars together like previous years with CB socialising along the way. Most will be heading back mid-late morning on the Monday. Only a 4 hour-ish drive for us Canberrans.
So you gracing us with your presence this year? Bringing one of the GT4s?

UPDATE - We are getting organised for another assault on the TOYOTA Nationals this Easter in Dubbo from 6-9 April. So far we already have 18 people booked in from Canberra, that I know of, with LOTS of others that are interested in going too.

If you wish to stay at Dubbo and enter the Saturday Shownshine or the Sunday Drags, the forms can found at http://www.toyota-nationals.org.au/ (even has a pic of Tweety on the front page!).

We will be leaving Canberra on Friday 6 April at 8.30am from the truck stop on the Barton Highway just out of Hall as per previous years. All are welcome to join in on the cruise as this is not just for CCG members. Accommodation is at the Matilda Motor Inn but rooms are completely booked from what we hear. Tips for those who have not previously attended are:
- CBs (Channel 16) are a must for those cruising as we can all keep together and entertain those cruising alone in their ride.
- BYO grog with you for Friday/Friday night to Dubbo as the bottlos will be closed due to Easter Friday….VERY IMPORTANT!!!
- Bring hat, sunblock , sunnies , camera etc and even a chair for the drags.

have fun this year, i would have loved to come but with my current job i have to work each second weekend, and that is my weekend.... damn it. so i miss out, ohh well i guess 2 days working at triple time will sort the pain of missing out
